Dear colleagues,

It is a great pleasure for us to welcome you in the Faculty of the Veterinary Sciences of the University of Cordoba (Spain) for the 5th scientific meeting of the European College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, on October 16-18, 2024.

We have created a dual program (Equine and Small Animals) with a high scientific level, clinically oriented and with internationally renowned speakers in sports medicine and rehabilitation.

Founded in 1847, the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences in Cordoba is the second oldest in Spain. Cordoba was the city chosen by King Philip II in the 16th century to create the popular Pura Raza Española horse breed (Andalusian horse). It was on this basis that the decision was taken to open in Cordoba one of the first Spanish veterinary schools. Nowadays, the Faculty has unique facilities in Spain, such as the Clinical Veterinary Hospital and the Equine Sports Medicine Centre at the Rabanales University Campus, where the congress workshops will be held. The two days of the main program will be held in the building of the former Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, currently used as the University Rectorate and very well located in the center of the city.

Apart from an impressive scientific program, we will also offer an attractive social program with a welcome cocktail and equestrian show in the historic Royal Stables of Cordoba, as well as an evening visit to the imposing Mosque of Cordoba, the soul of the city and its history, and a gala dinner in a typical restaurant-bodega with a flamenco show. Not to be missed! Finally, Cordoba is in the heart of Andalusia, and you can take advantage of your stay to quickly visit the most important places surrounding the zone such as Sevilla, Málaga and Granada.
